An amazing Lady went to heaven on Saturday. Cecile Marie (VanWormer) Plummer, age 85 of North Baltimore, Ohio passed away November 26, 2017 at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was a very kind and gentle person and always had a big smile and happy to see you. She has left her family with many memories and stories to tell, and will be very much missed.

Cecile was born January 6, 1932 in Bryan, Ohio. She married James L. Plummer on March 1, 1947 where they lived in Defiance, Ohio. They were blessed with nine children that she dearly loved;  Johnny Plummer, Anne Bingley, Virginia Michael, Shirley Clark, Lester (Pam) Plummer, Daniel Plummer, Bill Plummer, Roy (Julie) Plummer, and Terry Plummer. She was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She is now in heaven with her parents, Warren and Harriet (Rosebrook) VanWormer, two sisters, Anna Mae Strawser and Betty Santos, her husband James, and Baby Johnny.

Visitation will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home, 529 Jefferson Avenue in Defiance on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow visitation at 1pm, with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Cecile will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.
