Caryn M. Wasnich Caryn M. Wasnich, 52, of Defiance, passed away Monday, September 17th, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 7, 1966, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Jeannette M. (Seguin) Demecs. She was the wife of Christopher Wasnich whom she married in 2002. Caryn will be missed by her husband Christopher, daughters: Brianna Demecs of Defiance, Asiah Wasnich of South Carolina, Nikita Vega of Toledo, sons: Aaron (Christine) Demecs of Defiance, Mason Wasnich of Defiance, brothers: James (Ilene) Demecs of Toledo, David (Sherry) Demecs of Swanton, Tim (Carrie Jo) Demecs of Maumee, Randy Demecs of Holland, OH, Christopher (Mary) Demecs of Waterville, Darryl (Dinora) Demecs of Toledo. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Selina, Marleya, Precious and Emmett. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Michael and Dennis Demecs. Services at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23rd, with Rev. Vince Cantu officiating.
