Carolyn K. Ordway, 68, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday,  April 8, 2018 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance. She was born on March 29, 1950 to Herman and Esther (Nagel) Siler in Defiance. On September 19, 1969 she married Darrell Ordway, who resides in Defiance.

Carolyn was a member of Defiance County Hospice Auxiliary. She was a cook at Holy Cross Catholic School in Defiance. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, playing UNO, and relaxing outdoors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Carolyn will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 48 years, Darrell Ordway of Defiance, daughter, Dawn (Scott) Buchholz of Defiance, grandsons, Jacob Buchholz and Jared Buchholz, and two siblings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, and her beloved dogs, Tess and Odie. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Memorials are suggested to Fort Defiance Humane Society.
