Carolyn Kay Mitchell, 76, of Defiance , passed away Friday, October 13th, 2017 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center .
Carolyn was born in Defiance, Ohio on September 28, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alfreda (Boff) Brenner.
Carolyn was a 1959 graduate of Defiance High School and a member of St. John Catholic Church. She had been an Administrative Assistant for Dinner Bell Foods until the company closed. She was the Administrative Assistant at the Northtowne Mall, where she retired in 2007. In her free time she enjoyed reading, knitting, puzzles and gardening.
She will be missed by her daughter: Anne Mitchell and granddaughter Grace Mitchell both of Defiance, sisters: Theresa (Melvin) Bortz of Napoleon, Mary Ann (Martin) Buchman of Ft. Wayne, Deborah (Mark) Zeller of Defiance, brothers: Dave (Pat) Brenner, Sr. of Defiance and Steve Brenner of Perrysburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gene Brenner and sister-in-law Jeanie Brenner.
Visitation is Monday 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7:30.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17th, with visitation from 10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens .
