CarolAnn F. Davis, 84, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, September 11, 2014 at The Lutheran Home, Napoleon.

She was born on March 22, 1930 to Carl and Edna (Kolbe) Thielman in Defiance Co.

CarolAnn was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.  She retired from the housekeeping department at Defiance Hospital in 2000.  CarolAnn loved her family and enjoyed baking and gardening.

She is survived by her sons, Robert J. (Becky) Gabers of Napoleon, William P. (Evangeline) Gabers of Gallatin, TN, Gale W. (Maggie) Davis of Youngsville, NC, daughter, Julie (Daniel) Clemens of Defiance,  8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters, Joann (Walter) Schappert of Defiance, and Janice Lloyd of Defiance.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Brent Davis, brothers, Richard Thielman, Carl William Thielman, and a grandson, Jonathon Davis.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. Robbie  Ketcham officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be directed  to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
