Carol L. Henschen, 71, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her home with her children at her side. Carol was born on November 2, 1951 to Carl and Mary (Osborn) Wittenmyer in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was a 1969 graduate of Bowling Green High School. Carol worked as a clerk for several retail stores in the area. On June 1, 1973  she married David P. Henschen who preceded her in death on October 31, 2021.  She enjoyed writing, jigsaw puzzles, computer games, and listening to 45 records. Carol is survived by her loving children, Brian Henschen, and Stephanie (Henry) Sours all of Defiance, her brothers, Frank Wittenmyer of Custer, OH, Don (Betty) Wittenmyer of Rudolph, Ed (Linda) Wittenmyer of Delta, OH, and Bob Wittenmyer of Michigan, and her sisters, Sue Pierce and Pam Sams, both of Weston, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Henschen, and her brother, Carl Wittenmyer Jr. To honor Carol's wishes there will be no visitation or services.
