Bruce E Hahn, 58, of Defiance, passed away, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on November 14, 1954 to Merl and Anna (Schartzer) Hahn in Defiance.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Cheryl (Zipfel) Hahn whom he married on September 26, 1986. Other survivors include his father, Merl Hahn of Defiance, son, Jonathan (Gert) Hahn of Defiance, daughter, Megan (Aaron Osborn) Hahn of Defiance, son, Jordan Hahn of Defiance, grandchildren, Jacob, Alex, Regan & Lane, brother, Greg (Lisa) Hahn of Defiance and a sister, Roseann (Jim) Varner of Oakwood.

Bruce graduated from Defiance High School in 1973 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a self-employed carpenter and worked in maintenance for the Defiance City Schools and Cooper farms.  Bruce cherished his children and grandchildren and enjoyed classic cars, hunting arrowheads and deer hunting.

He is reunited with his mom Anna,  Laurel (Lolly) Hahn and his granddaughter, Ava Leeann Osborn.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Vigil service at 7:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio, with Father John Stites as celebrant.

Burial will take place in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance .

Memorials can be made to the family for expenses.
