Bonnie A. Bercaw, 72, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 10, 1944 to James and Muriel (Ham) Tuttle in Rochester, NH. She was a 1962 graduate of Bryan High School and attended The Ohio State University. Bonnie worked for the Ohio Gas Company for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of  Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan, Ohio and Defiance Moose Lodge #2094.

Bonnie was a very loving and kind person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included traveling, camping, and walking with her dogs.

Bonnie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Heather (Denna Harvill) Gettys of Saint Louis, MO, son, Jim (Michelle) Gettys of Defiance, grandchildren, Beth (Matt) Brown, Jaymie Gettys and Mason Gettys. Great-granddaughters Morgann and Kenzie Brown, sister, Gail (Keith) Cretcher of Lincoln, CA, her nieces, and her beloved dogs Jessie and Sadie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bercaw, and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.  A Private Burial will take place at a later date at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan, Ohio.
