Bonnie J. Boff, age 68 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on November 14, 1956 to Lowell and Wilma (Burk) Speiser in Defiance, Ohio. Bonnie was a 1974 graduate of Tinora High School. On June 14, 1975 she married Michael A. Boff who survives.

Bonnie was a faithful member of St. John Catholic Church and was an active participant in the Prayer Shawl Ministry, CCD Instructor and Women's Bible Study. She was a life member at Tinora Athletic, Academic and Music Boosters. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother who treasured her time spent attending her family's and grandchildren's events, always eager to support and encourage them. Bonnie provided daycare in her home for over 30 years, nurturing many young lives. In her leisure time she found joy in crocheting, quilting and reading. Bonnie will be greatly missed by her family and remembered as a loving and caring person whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Michael A. Boff of Defiance, and her children, Kathy (Ryan) Bellomy, Jeff Boff, Karen (Nate) Weber, Joe (Krista) Boff, and Andy (Andrea) Boff. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, and her siblings, Dorothy (Dallas) Reineke, David (Marilyn) Speiser, Judy (Bob) Lehman, and Janet Layman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Mason Boff, sister, Barbara Brown, and infant brother, Richard Speiser. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Rosary Service will be led by the K of C at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 16th at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest in Webb Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Tinora High School Scholarship Fund, in care of Defiance Area Foundation.
