Bonita "Sue" Grimes, 75, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born on December 31, 1941 to Richard and Helen (Peterson) Beardsley in Defiance. On April 29, 1960  she married Richard Grimes, who resides in Defiance. Bonita enjoyed bowling, CB radios, and visiting Auglaize Village. She loved her grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Bonita is survived by her loving spouse of  56 years, Richard Grimes of Defiance, daughters, Debra Grimes (Dave Saam) of Archbold, Babs Grimes of Defiance,  Staci (Bradley) Carolus of Defiance, and Traci Grimes of Defiance, 3 grandchildren, brother, Ronald Beardsley of Cincinnati, and sister, Sandi (Lynn) Gaylord of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David Eugene Grimes, and a sister in infancy, Cheryl Beardsley.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 am at Schaffer Funeral Home on April 12, 2017.   Burial and graveside services will be at Riverview Memory Gardens, with Pastor Donald Leonard officiating at 11:00 am.
