Blas Alvarado Blas Alvarado, 65, of Oakwood, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Laredo, Texas on October 6, 1952, he was the son of the late Edvardo and Dominga (Esquivel) Alvarado. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from G.M. Central Foundry. Blas loved his family and grand kids. He enjoyed lawn care and cooking. Blas was the husband of Tambera (Dunbar) Alvarado whom he married on August 2, 1991. Blas will be missed by his wife Tammy, daughters: Theresa (Jared) Alvarado of Toledo, Rachael (Derek) Alvarado of Oakwood, sons: David (Krista) Alvarado of Defiance, Joshua (Danielle) Hernandez of Phoenix, Arizona, sisters: Alieica Gonzales of Bryan, Texas, Yolanda Alvarado of Cincinnati, brothers: Edwardo Alvarado Jr. of Denton Texas, Raul Alvarado of Deshler, two grandsons: Jericho Beatty and Ivan Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Arturo and Luis Alvarado. Private services will be for the family. Burial with military graveside rites will be at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance. The Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home was entrusted with his arrangements.
