Wagner, 99, of Toledo died Monday, September 27, 2010, at Sunset House. > She was born in Lackawanna, New York, on February 12, 1911, the daughter of Ole and Josephine (Johnson) Nelson. > On May 26, 1945, she married Ralph J. Wagner. Blanche and her husband opened and owned a jewelry store in Chicago in 1955. They moved to Defiance, Ohio, in 1964 and opened Wagner Jewelers. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance. They moved to West Park Place in Toledo in 1990. > Surviving are daughter Jane (Allen) Schroeder of Perrysburg; granddaughters Amy, Stacey, Holly, and Jenny Schroeder of Chicago; niece Lynne Simcox; and nephews Harry Simcox and Nelson Habenicht. > Preceded in death by a brother, Harry Nelson; two sisters, Signe Habenicht and Gwen Simcox; and her husband, Ralph. > Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, with Rev. Donald Luhring of St. John Lutheran officiating. > Visitation is Thursday from 10 to 11 before the services. > Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. > Suggested memorials are to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Sunset House of Toledo 4030 Indian Rd.
