Beulah M. Becher, 77, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.

She was born on August 14, 1938 in Van Wert, Ohio. On August 16, 1960 she married Ernest Becher, who preceded her in death on December 6, 2006. Beulah was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance. She loved square dancing and was a member of a camping club.

Beulah will be greatly missed by her family; son, Leonard Becher, and daughter, Patricia  Becher, both of Defiance, stepsons, Gerald (Sue) Becher of Oakwood, and Marty (Vickie) Becher of Anchorage, Alaska, two grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and sister, Liz of Van Wert, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest Becher, brothers, Clifford and Buck, and sister, Pinky.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance, with Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
