Obituary

Betty Mae Wieland, 68, of Antwerp, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born on March 16, 1948 to William and Agnes (Little) Wieland in Defiance.

Betty was a  former member of Grace Methodist Church in Hicksville, Ohio. She worked at Quadco Rehabilitation Center, and attended PARC Lane Training Center. Betty  enjoyed Wolf Lake and Elvis Presley.

Betty will be greatly missed by her family; brother, William "Willie" (Carolyn) Wieland, Jr. of Cecil, Ohio, nephew, Richard Wieland of Defiance, niece, Stephanie (Allen) Schooley of Hicksville, and her long time friend, Joanne Coon of Hicksville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and William Wieland, Sr., and niece, Tyna Marowelli.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am  on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral  Home, with Rev. George Alley officiating.
Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.
