Betty J. Seibel Betty J. Seibel, 89, of Defiance, Ohio , passed away Tuesday, December 25th, 2018 at the Laurels of Defiance. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on July 10, 1929. She was the daughter of John and Mary Porter. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Betty married "Jack" Charles F. Seibel on Oct. 3, 1958 and he died June 4, 2014. She enjoyed attending musicals and plays. She was a member of several card clubs. Betty was a gentle, kind and strong woman. She also loved animals and people. She will be missed by her sons: John Seibel of Houston, Texas, James (Kris) Seibel of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Alex, Nick, Zachary, Cole and Alexa Seibel. Services will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29th, with Rev. Ann Wasson officiating. Visitation is Friday 4 - 6:30 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
