Betty Jane Aden, 89, formally of Ayersville, passed away on September 6, 2012, at Vancrest of Holgate.

She was born on August 18, 1923 to Edward and Leatha (Williams) Roos in Reading, MI. She attended school at Woodword High School, in Toledo, Ohio. On March 28th, 1942  she married Eugene H. Aden.

During WWII, Betty worked at Willy's Jeep building airplanes. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, post #340, Holgate, Ohio, a Life member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW, post #8847, Holgate, Ohio, and she was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Holgate, Ohio, where she also served as a Ladies Aide.

Betty is survived by daughter; Linda (Claude) Gibson of Napoleon, OH, son; William (Cathy) Aden of Defiance, OH, sister; Mina Willmarth, of Toledo, Ohio, grandchildren; Becky Diehl of Napoleon, Shane Aden of Defiance, Nicole (Allen) Wolff of Lima, Ohio, Stacy (Shawn) Williams of Liberty Center, Ohio, Tracy (Aron) Deblin of Napoleon, great-grandchildren; Tasha Diehl, McKayla, Gavin, & Dariane Wolff, Kyle & Ethan Williams, Shane & Matthew Deblin. Betty will be greatly missed by all, including her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Eugene H Aden, mother, Leatha N Williams, father, Edward J. Roos, daughter; Rebekkah J. Aden, brother; William Roos, and 2 granddaughters in infancy; Tonya & Romela Aden.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 07, 2012 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church Holgate, Ohio, with Rev. Theodore Rellstab officiating.

Burial will take place in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
