Betty E. Retcher Betty E. Retcher, 96, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at Brookview Healthcare Center. . She was born in Putnam County, Ohio on August 22, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Mabel (Goldsberry) Drew. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. and the widow of Virgil Retcher. Betty had worked in the core room dept. at General Motors for for 13 years. Survivors include a sister in law: Dorothy Drew of Paulding. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Morey, Howard, and John Drew. Services at St. John Lutheran Church at 11:00 A:M on Monday, September 20th, with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Visitation is Monday 10-11 at the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
