Elizabeth (Betty) M. Hawk Elizabeth (Betty) M. Hawk, age 83, of Defiance, passed away at 5:00 A:M , Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 at Twin Rivers Care Center. She was born in Delphos, Ohio on January 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Marcile (Rayman) Brabant. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She married Franklin H. Hawk, Sept. 3, 1945 and he survives. Betty worked at Kissner's Restaurant for 8 years and did volunteer work. She was a graduate of Delphos St. John High School. Besides her loving husband Frank surviving are five daughters: James (Mary) Wagner of the state of Florida, Marjorie (Ronald) Eberly of Defiance, Sylvia Soto of Bryan, Jean (Robert) Simpson of Paulding, Virginia (Paul) Cloud of Oklahoma City, Oka. and a son: John Hawk of Maryville, Tenn. Sister: Dorothy (Emmett) Martin of Wapakoneta, Oh. Brother: Richard Brabant of Delphos, Oh. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters: Florence Metcalfe and Shelva Schoonover. Services will be 10:00 A:M Tuesday, May 12, at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Fr. Todd Dominique officiating. Friends are invited to call 6-9 Monday night, May 11 and 9-10 Tuesday May 12, at Lawson-Roessner. Interment at Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to D.A.S.H.
