Betty  J. Bauserman, 87, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance, OH.

She was born on February 4, 1927 to Arthur  and Beulah (Buchanan) Harmon in Zanesville, OH.  On December 24, 1948 she married Richard A. Bauserman, whom survives.

Betty worked many years for area auto dealerships, Ohio Unemployment Office, and First National Bank of Northwest Ohio.

Betty  is survived by her loving spouse, Richard A. Bauserman of Defiance, OH, daughter, Jean (Charles) East of Defiance, OH, grandson, Joe (Haley) Murcko of Defiance, OH, granddaughter, Jessie Murcko of Defiance, OH, two Step Granddaughters, Rachel Short of Payne, OH, and Tracy East of Van Wert, OH, 5 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lewis Harmon, and sisters, Mary Flowers and Helen Few.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 11:00 am in the funeral  home, with Pastor Justin McCall, officiating.

Burial will take place in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.

Memorials are suggested to the Heartland Hospice or MS Foundation.
