Betty G. Eshem Betty G. Eshem, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in East Point, Ky. on September 4, she was the daughter of the late Goldie Marie Adkins. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Douglas Eshem on Dec. 31, 1954 and he survives. She had worked as a nurses aid and was a member of the VFW and AMVETS auxiliaries. Besides her husband surviving are four daughters: Judy (Michael) Sholl of Ney, Marilyn Clay of Defiance, Janet Showman of Defiance, Barbara (Randy) Clady of Defiance, a son: Douglas Eshem of Defiance, brother: Randall (Wilma) Wells of Portsmouth, Oh. Betty is also survived by many grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Donald and a great grand daughter Emma Huston. Betty's services will be at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, at 12:00 noon Tuesday, May 31st, with Pastor Bobby Branham officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday morning 10-12 a.m. before services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Suggested donations are to the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
