Betty B. Hill, 88, of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on August 5, 1929 to Paul and Molly (Spears) Creed in Cranes Nest, VA. On January 4, 1946  she married Henry Hill, who preceded her in death in 2005. Betty was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to clean and cook, especially making dinners for her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.

Together, during their marriage of 59 years, Betty and Henry raised eight children: daughters, Ginger Willis, Joyce (Don) Gustwiller, and Julie (Terry) Hunt, sons, Danny (and the Late Betty Lou) Hill, Bobby (Oline) Hill, Steve (Karen) Hill, Gregory (Kimberly) Hill, Samuel Hill, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Henry Hill, grandson Mark, and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 27th at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, St. Rt. 111, Defiance, with Denny Hunter officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
