Betty J. Weidenhamer, 85, a resident of Columbia, Maryland since 1980, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Maryland. Mrs. Weidenhamer was born on September 26, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio. Her parents Edward and Edith Coppes are deceased. Betty married Dr. Gerald H. Weidenhamer in 1958. At the time of her retirement in 1997 she was a management assistant in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Her husband, Gerald, of Columbia, and son, Joseph, survive Mrs. Weidenhamer. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.
