Becki Clemens Rebecca 'Becki' J. Clemens, 64, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center after a 3 year battle with cancer. Becki was born in Defiance, Ohio on May 15, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Helene I. (McCann) Clemens. After graduating from Defiance High School she was employed at a local restaurant as Assistant Manager before working for a local hardware store. During her life, Becki spent her free time working with a local Girl Scout troop, volunteering at both the VFW and the AMVETS. She was an avid member of the P. Buckley Moss Society, a member of VFW Post # 3360 Auxiliary and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Becki is survived by brothers: Rick (Theresa) Clemens of Lima and Ray Clemens of Defiance, She is also survived by 3 nephews and a niece, Nephews: Jeremy (Natalie) Clemens, Jason (Kelly) Clemens, Jacob (Christina) Clemens and niece Jayna Clemens, 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces: Ethan, Lena, Colin, Townsend, Quentin, Jaden and Emily Clemens. In addition she leaves special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in law Karen (Okuley) Clemens. Becki loved life and enjoyed her family, friends and cherished her relationships. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15th, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Visitation is Sunday 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home and at the church an hour before the services Monday. There will be a VFW Auxiliary service at 2:00 Sunday and a scripture service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Suggested memorials are to the St. Mary's Church Flower Fund or to St. Mary's Food Pantry.
