Beatrice  Gordon, 97 of Defiance, passed away Saturday evening, October 12, 2013 in the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born December 29, 1915 in Defiance and was the daughter of Albert and Mathilda (Sillibourne) Schudel.

Beatrice worked for many years in the cafeteria at the former Defiance Hospital and was a member of St. John Catholic Church as well as the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; Albert, Charles, Francis and Bernard Schudel and three sisters; Thelma Martin, Dorothy Ehlinger and Alice Myers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 4 to 7PM in the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.  Vigil service at 6:45.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00AM in St. John Catholic Church with Father Todd Dominique as celebrant.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
