Beatrice L. "Bea" Jenkins, age 78, of Hamler, Ohio, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Monday morning, June 20, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Holgate, Ohio on March 10, 1944 to the late Frank and Emma (Butler) Meyer. Bea worked for several years at General Motors in Defiance, and was a member of UAW #211. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, traveling to Colorado, playing games on her tablet, and teasing her grandchildren. She loved her dogs; Lucky, July, and Teenie Tiny. Bea was a wonderful, sweet and loving lady with a beautiful smile. She will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends. Bea is survived by her children; Michael Jenkins of Morenci, MI, and Susan Jenkins of Hamler, OH, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Evelyn Schlimmer of Ocala, FL and Lois Loftin of Rockford, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emma Meyer, her daughter, Kimberly Martin, and her brother, Wayne Meyer. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
