Barry A. "Bear" Klingshirn, 53, of Defiance, passed away on  December 18, 2014 at his residence.

He was born on January 20, 1961 to Donald and Pearl (Gustwiller) Klingshirn at Defiance, OH.

Barry followed in the footsteps of both parents by serving in the US Military.  "Bear" served honorably in the US Marine Corps spending time in Japan, Phillipines, Panama, Nicaragua, and Viet Nam.  Barry faced any challenge head on and full throttle.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the river, playing euchre and dominos with family and friends.  Bear always lived by the USMC "Semper Fi" which means "Always Faithful".

Barry is survived by his daughter, Jessica Klingshirn-Adkins of Defiance, OH, mother, Pearl Klingshirn of Defiance, OH, brothers, Bruce (Sherri) Klingshirn of Defiance, OH, Brian Klingshirn of Defiance, OH, sisters, Carol (James) Magoulas of Antwerp, OH, Connie Klingshirn of Defiance, OH, 5 Nieces, 5 Nephews, 3 Great Nieces, 3 Great Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Klingshirn.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, 10:00 am at the funeral  home, with Father Todd Dominique, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
