Barbara D Throop-Stemen,71, of Defiance, passed away on  April 5, 2017 at the CHP Defiance Area InPatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on October 9, 1945 to Mary Elizabeth Throop in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  Barbara was a Homemaker and enjoyed Bingo, coloring, spending time with family, and puzzle books

Barbara is survived by her son, Charles (Deb) Throop of Locust Grove, Georgia; grandchildren, Morgan (Rick) Brooks of Jackson, Georgia and Joshua Gauss of McDonough, Georgia as well as 6 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her brothers, Terry (Helen) Trowbridge of Cartersville, Georgia; Jerry Trowbridge of Defiance, Ohio and her sister, Helen Weber of Defiance, Ohio along with 12 nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; granddaughter, Tamara Leigh Throop; siblings, Roy Allen Trowbridge, June Weber, and Linda Lather.

There will be no calling or services at this time.  A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance was in charge of arrangements.
