Barbara K Fischer, 59, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance.

She was born on August 17, 1954 to Forest and Margaret "Betty" (Riley) Engel in Defiance.

Barbara worked at Campbell Soups, Napoleon and at the Defiance Senior Center.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Arps of GA, Gary Arps of Defiance, daughter, Krystal Fischer of Defiance, granddaughter, Angel Myers of Wauseon, brothers, John (Terry) Engel of Napoleon, Dave Engel of Holgate, Vic (Mary) Engel of Holgate, Greg (Marianne) Engel of Tampa, FL, and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Engel of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Engel.

There will be no visitation.   Funeral services will be private. .

The family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
