Barbara Ann "Barb" Hahn, 78, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center , Defiance, Ohio. She was born on October 28, 1936 to Irvin and Lucille (Westrick) Kime in Defiance, Ohio. On November 26, 1955, she married Nelson J. Hahn, who survives. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Barb was an active member of St. Mary's Parish.  She shared her deep faith through service to the community, and enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her large extended family and many friends. Barbara is survived by her loving spouse of 59 years, Nelson J. Hahn of Defiance, son, Jeff (Peg) Hahn of Defiance, son, Jerry (Cheryl) Hahn of Waterville, daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Mack of Defiance, daughter, Chris (Barry) Kreger of Centerville, Ohio, 11 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren, siblings: Sister Mary Lucille Kime, Paul Kime,  Janet (Don) Zern, Mary (Joe) Morris, Katie (Jim) Langschied, Peg Kohne, Nancy Kime, Francis (Jean Ann) Kime, Linda Meek, Pete (Mavis) Kime, Tom (Pam) Kime,  Anita Kime, Ann (Lynn) Fockler, and sister-in-law, Donnie Kime. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Lucille Kime, a child at birth, and siblings: Richard, James, David and Patricia. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a vigil service at 7:15 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige, officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Memorials are suggested to Ravens, Defiance OH, or a charity of the donor's choice.
