Arthur J. Koppenhofer, 91, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Defiance Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 20, 1924 to Arthur and Anna (Raabe) Koppenhofer in Henry County, Ohio. On April 20, 1947 he married Loretta (Dietrich) Koppenhofer, who resides in Defiance. Arthur was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He worked for Defiance Hospital, and for Jim Derrow Auto Sales as a bookkeeper. Arthur is survived by his loving spouse of 68 years, wife Loretta Koppenhofer of Defiance, daughters, Sandra (Dave) Pergram and Lori (Jody) Zeller, all of Defiance, 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Dottie Koppenhofer of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Koppenhofer, brothers, Melvin and Norbert  Koppenhofer, and great-grandson, Angelo Cianciolo. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance, with Rev. Donald L Luhring officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.
