Antonio David Laker-Sierra, age 2 of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on May 12, 2023 to Jeremy Sierra and LeAnn Laker in Toledo, OH. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Antonio enjoyed interacting with his sisters and his family, being outdoors and chasing the family dog. He loved life and was always smiling. His spirit and strength will forever live on in the hearts of his family. Antonio is survived by his loving parents, his sisters, Alexis (Travis) Degler, Makayla, Isabella and Camila Laker-Sierra, all of Defiance, and his grandparents, Janet Laker of Cecil, OH, Cindy (Sam) Williamson of Defiance, and Jesse (Christy) Sierra of Defiance, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Colton Laker-Sierra, and grandfather, David Laker. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 am on Monday, January 19th at St. John's Catholic Church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Antonio will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family, St. John Catholic Church, or Downs Syndrome Association.
