Antonia L. Bentancur Antonia L. Bentancur, 79, of Defiance, Oh , entered into God's eternal care at 6:20 a.m. , Monday, August 31st, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Seguin, Texas on January 8, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Benito and Ylaria (Martinez) Lozano. Antonia was the wife of Santos G. Bentancur whom she married December 22, 1958. She lived in Defiance since 1960 and was a member of New Jerusalem Church in Defiance. She enjoyed going to church, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her husband Santos, daughters: Antonia (Jerry) McGuire of Defiance, Annette (Lee Miles) Rupert of Lima, Franchesca (Anthony) Mauer of Austin, Texas, Xan Bentancur of Defiance, son: Isaac Bentancur of New Orleans. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son Santos Bentancur Jr.,her son in law Curtis Rupert Jr., four brothers and five sisters. A Celebration of Home Going Service will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3rd, with Rev. Art Hulett officiating. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center or the American Cancer Society.
