Anthony L. Smith, age 74, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home. He was born May 27, 1948 to the late Robert and Mary (Matthew) Smith in Detroit, Michigan. Anthony retired from Johns Manville where he worked as an Operator. He was a member of VFW Post 3360. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, golfing, and going to the movies. Anthony is survived by his brother James (Elane) Smith, their 3 sons, Daren, Jeff, Joel; sister Dee Watson, her children Greg and Lorie; son, Wayne (Barbi) Smith and daughter Wendy Smith; 7 grandchildren: Dustin, Damon, Brandon, Ashley, Derek and Christian; great grandson Bentley; lifetime partner Marge Golden, daughters Tammy and Tiffany, and grandchildren Lucy and Clint. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert Smith, Richard Smith, sisters Suzanne Brown, Trudy Smith, and nephews Jeremy and Jason. A Memorial/ Dinner will be held at VFW Post 3360, Thursday, September 29th at 3pm. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
