Anna Rose "Honey" Reed, 95, of Defiance OH, passed away peacefully surrounded with love by many of her family members present on Friday, June 2, 2017 at The Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, OH.  She passed away just three hours before her 96th birthday to be able to celebrate her "new" birthday in heaven with family and friends.

She was born on June 3, 1921 to Lewis and Helen (Swary) Gustwiller at New Bavaria, OH. On September 15, 1945, she married Glenn Reed who preceded her in death on September 7, 1999.

She was a member of St John's Catholic Church, and former member of St. Michael's Golf Course. Honey enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and especially liked playing cards and golf..

Anna is survived by her daughter, Linda (Rick) Francis of Bowling Green, OH, 2 sons, Michael (Pat) Reed of Phoenix, AZ, and, Thomas (Jackie) Reed of Waterville, OH, 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn W. Reed, 2 sons, James and Douglas Reed, 1 Granddaughter, 6 sisters, Alberta "Berta" Wenzinger, Pearl "Babe" Klingshirn, Pauline "Beanie" Thomas, Martha "Bootsie" Reineke, Ruth "Betsy" Steffel, and Antoinette "Nettie" Wolff, 2 brothers, Lavon "Gus / Feller" and Alloysius "Boy" Gustwiller.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio, with funeral services following at 2:00 pm in the funeral home, with Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance OH.

Memorials are suggested to the Defiance County Senior Services or Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria OH.
