Ann Lynn Bidlack, age 74, of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born in Defiance, Ohio on March 26, 1952 to the late Charles R. and Wilma J. (Eitniear) Bidlack, and was a 1970 graduate of Defiance High School.

Ann was a faithful member of St. John's Catholic Church, and was an Auxiliary Member of Defiance Eagles #372, VFW #3360 and AmVets #1991. She worked at the Defiance Drive-In and G.C. Murphy Company during her high school years. After she graduated, she worked at Strydel Inc. and then Clevite Elastomers in Napoleon, Ohio until her retirement, before becoming a manager at Nancy's Restaurant in Defiance. She deeply loved her dogs and spending time with her family above all else. She enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews play and coach sports over the years. Ann will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends.

Ann is survived by her brothers, David (Martha) Bidlack and Gary Bidlack, her sister, Kathy (Dennis) Ripke, sister-in-law, Becky Bidlack, very special friends, Nancy Bruce, Mary Beth Snider, and Bonnie Shock, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James R. Bidlack, and a sister in infancy, Marilyn Bidlack.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 1st at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. Kevin McGraw, officiating. One hour of additional visitation will be held before the Mass at the church. Ann will be laid to rest at Riverview Memory Gardens at a later date.
