Andrew Charles Schweitzer, 58, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on June 1, 2026. He was born on June 30, 1967, in Toledo, Ohio.

Andy was a graduate of Tinora High school and The Ohio State University, where he studied Hospitality Management. Over the course of his career, he worked in a variety of roles, including management at Kettenring Country Club and Toledo Country Club, as an appraiser at Coldwell Banker Sigg Realty, at The Station in Defiance, and Menards in Defiance and Toledo.

He is survived by his daughter and greatest joy in life, Scarlett Josephine of Lewis Center, Ohio. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Schweitzer of Defiance; his siblings, Teresa Schweitzer of California, Jenni and Mahtab Ahmed of Bryan, Ohio, and Tony and Sheila (McCoy) Schweitzer of Eugene, Oregon; and his nieces and nephew, Maddie Schweitzer, Ben Schweitzer, Lilly Ahmed, and Erica Ahmed. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Schweitzer, and his infant son, Grayson.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Defiance, with Fr. John Stites officiating.
