Alvin "Tony" Colón, 51, of Defiance, went to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on August 4, 1966 to Geronimo and Engracia (Robles) Colón in Manhattan, NY. On August 4, 1995 he married Laura (Tucker) Colón, who resides in Defiance. Tony was a member of  The Family Christian Center. He worked at the Water Plant for the City of Defiance for over eleven years until 2013. He loved watching his kids in their Tinora sporting events, and going back to New York to visit his family, and to love on his nieces and nephews. Tony was an avid New York Yankees fan, and he enjoyed sharing his Puerto Rican culture with others. His family would like everyone to know Tony was a hard worker, and when times got difficult he never gave up. Tony will be greatly missed by his loving wife of  22 years, Laura Colón of Defiance, mother, Engracia Colón of Bronx, NY, daughter, Luciana Colón in the U.S. Navy in Monterey, CA, sons, Isaiah Colón and Paul Colón, both living at home, siblings, Geronimo (Dahlia) Colón of CO, Allan Colón of Bronx, NY, Janet (Anthony) Pintos of New York City, NY, Lissette (Ryan) Colón-Inshanally of Bronx, NY, Aaron (Yvette) Colón of Brooklyn, NY, Joel (Ailyn) Colón of  MA, and Crystal (Michael) Miller of PA. He was preceded in death by his father, Geronimo Colón. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at The Family Christian Center in Defiance. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 4, 2018 at The Family Christian Center, with Pastors Andrew Tracy and Larry Kennedy officiating.
