Allen D. Flynn, age 65 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 6, 2022 at his home in Defiance. He was born on July 2, 1957 to the late Robert and Willa (Akers) Flynn in Pikeville, Kentucky. On November 8, 1978 he married Rebecca (Stewart) Flynn, who survives. Allen worked for 20 years as a Senior Systems Analyst at Bard Manufacturing. He was a real tech guru and enjoyed working on computers and listening to music. He treasured his time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved his dogs and would take in senior dogs to care for them. Allen  was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rebecca Flynn of Defiance, his sons, Nathanial (Sarah) Flynn of Reading, PA, Jonathan (Avali) Flynn of Candler, NC, and Aaron (Kaitlin) Flynn of Macedonia, OH, and his grandchildren, Julia and Benjamin Flynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willa and Robert Flynn. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home, with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Celebrant Deb Miller will officiate.
