A. Allan Wise A. Allan Wise, 89, of Defiance, passed away Thursday, March 17th, 2011 at the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Grey County, Ontario, Canada on November 6, 1921, he was the son of the late Allan and Lydia (Thompson) Wise. Allan married Patricia (Lisak-Batt) Wise on Sept. 26, 1992 and she survives. He worked as a carpenter and builder. He was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force serving in World War Two as a pilot. He was a member of the Canadian Legion, the Defiance VFW, American Legion and K of C. Allan was also a member of St. John Catholic church. Besides his wife Pat, surviving are Step Daughters: Adrianne Batt of Defiance, Renee (David) Andelin of Clarksville, Tenn. Step Sons: Eric (Kathleen) Batt of Fishers, Indiana, Craig (Karla) Batt of Defiance, Kevin (Marla) Batt of Winfield, West Va., Douglas Batt of Cincinnati, Kyle (Tina) Batt of Defiance. Sisters: Elsie Klemmer of Ontario, Olive Girodat of Ontario Brother: H. Beverly Wise of Ontario, Canada. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother Wilfred Wise. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church at 1:00 P:M on Saturday, March 19th, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Visitation is Friday 4-6 and Saturday 11:30 - 12:30 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. with a 6:00 P:M Rosary Service.
