Alice E. Weber Alice E. Weber, age 77, of Defiance, Oh , passed away at 6:30 A:M , Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance, Oh. Alice was born in Defiance County, Ohio on March 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Coletta (Lenhart) Kretz She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Defiance, Oh. She was the wife of Francis E. Weber. They were married Aug. 21, 1954 and he survives. . She was a longtime bookkeeper at St. John's Catholic School. She also was a money counter for the church collections, an active church volunteer and a member of the Christian Mothers and Altar Society. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy High School. Besides her husband surviving are a Daughter: Janice (Ronald) Elliott of Defiance and a Son: Thomas Weber of Defiance, Oh a Sister: Sister Mary Rita Kretz S.N.D. and a Brother: Walter Kretz of Defiance, Oh She is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by a granddaughter and 3 brothers- Leo, Donald and Raymond Kretz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, Oh. at 1:30 P:M on Friday, June 27th, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Friends are invited to call Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. There will be a 8:00 P:M Vigil Service Thursday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home by Deacon Don Meyer. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Family request donations to St. John Catholic Church or to the Sisters of Notre Dame.
