Alice  M. Boyd, 83, of Defiance, passed away on  Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Defiance CHP Hospice Center.

She was born on December 12, 1930 to Paul and Mary (Moots) Voss in Urbana, OH. Alice worked as a Machine Operator for S&K Handtools in Defiance retiring on December 21, 1994.

She was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church, the local union #1356 at S&K Handtools, enjoyed traveling and her family.

Alice  is survived by her daughter, Judith (Joseph) Hensley of Defiance, OH, granddaughter, Julie (Kevin) Lovejoy, granddaughter, Aundrea (Tri III) Brazell, grandson, Andrew Boyd, grandson, Larry  Boyd, grandson, Robbie  Boyd, grandson, Johnny Boyd, granddaughter, Neva Boyd, great-granddaughter, Lauren Ellis, great-granddaughter, Justine Lovejoy, great-granddaughter, Jaclyn Lovejoy, great-granddaughter, Kaylee  Lovjoy, great-granddaughter, Arianna Brazell, Great-Great Grandson, William "Trip" Bowser III.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, John L. Boyd Jr., brothers, Robert Huston, and  James Huston.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 01, 2014 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 11:00 am at the Schaffer Funeral  Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Defiance County.
