Obituary

Alice Louise Sines Alice Louise Sines, 86, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 at her home. Louise was born on July 15, 1922, the daughter of Chase and Georgeia (Butler) Ragan. She married Denzil "Ole Ranger Denny" Sines in 1940 and he died May 12, 2008. Surviving is a Son: Roger (Joan) Sines of Leesburg, Florida, a son in law Paul Flathman of Bascom, Oh. brother and sister in law Loyal and Connie Sines of Stryker, 8 grandchildren an 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Marlene Flathman, stepfather Albert Coleman, sister Edith Crowe, her husband and parents. A member of the Defiance Christian church, a bible school teacher, vacation bible school leader, young leader, women's groups and choir, A former active member of the Fayette Christian church serving on many committees. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Brownie Scout leader, Girl Scout leader and Council staff member. She moved to Defiance in 1963, resideing at Camp Lakota B.S.A. She worked many jobs with the Boy Scouts as the Scout Master's wife. A graduate of Gorham Fayette High School. She was a supervisor and demonstrator of Radello Hair Products and worked at the Fish Variety Store. Services 11:00 A:M Saturday, Dec. 13, at Defiance Christian Church, Defiance, Oh. 43512. with Rev. Bryan Maxey officiating. Friends are invited to call Friday 2-8 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home and Saturday 10-11 at Defiance Christian Church, 955 Standley Rd. Interment is at Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. Suggested memorials are to the Defiance Christian Church, Camp Lakota or the donor's choice.
