Alfreda M. Brenner
Alfreda M. Brenner, 93, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, June 1st, 2013 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born in Ney, Ohio on June 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William and Clara (Dietrick) Boff.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and Altar Society, and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She had worked in the cafeteria at Defiance High School. Alfreda married Alfred Brenner on May 25, 1938 and he died April 2, 1999. She enjoyed reading, baking and her family.
She will be missed by her daughters: Theresa (Melvin) Bortz of Holgate, Carolyn Mitchell of Defiance, Mary Ann (Martin) Buchman of Ft. Wayne, Deborah (Mark) Zeller of Defiance
sons: Dave (Pat) Brenner of Defiance, Steve Brenner of Perrysburg.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; son Gene and daughter-in-law Jeanie Brenner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 7th, with Father Todd Dominique officiating.
Friends are invited to call Thursday 2-8 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
A vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
