Albert C. "Albert" Flores, 74, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1:44 p.m. Albert was born on November 8, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Isabel C. Flores and Albert C. Flores.

He devoted more than 50 years of his life to General Motors and also worked over 10 years at Johns Manville, taking pride in the hard work and dedication that defined his career. Albert was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle. He loved his family deeply and especially cherished hosting family gatherings, where he was the grill pit master. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, he also had a special love for cars-particularly Cadillacs. His Bible rested on his nightstand, and he studied it faithfully. He took great pride in his home and lawn, tending to both with care and attention that reflected his character.

Albert will be remembered for his generous heart and his constant willingness to help anyone in need-he truly would have given the shirt off his back. Those who knew him, knew his playful, jokester spirit and his big personality.

He was the center of the Flores family; though he could sometimes seem gruff on the outside, he was a teddy bear at heart, and his love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his siblings, Fred Flores and Linda Davila (Rick Davila); his children, Christopher Flores, Lezley Flores, Scott Flores, and Steven Flores; and his grandchildren, Gabe Flores, Olivia Flores, and Kynlee Flores. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Isabel and Albert Flores, his sisters Roselie Flores and Sylvia Chaney (Michael Chaney), and his brother John Flores (Diona Flores). A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 16th from 2-7 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A final gathering will be at 11:00 on Friday, April 17th at the funeral home, with a service to follow at 12:00 pm.
