Jr.

Abraham Flores, Jr., age 90, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 4, 1933, to Abraham and Eudelia (Jones) Flores in Eagle Pass, TX. On November 4, 1961, he married Margaret Godoy who survives in Defiance. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Abraham retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He loved dancing with his wife through the years. Gardening was a favorite hobby as well as just being outside and around his grandchildren. Abraham is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; children, Lucio Flores of Defiance, Trinidad (Melanie) Flores of Alpharetta, GA, and daughter, Abigail Flores-Hall of Cookeville, TN. He also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Natasha Flores of Defiance, Brandi Cline of Cookeville, TN, Kayla Blake of Buffalo Valley, TN, Sebastian Flores and Trinidad Flores, Jr. both of Alpharetta, GA, Alexis and Leigha Flores both of Defiance and Lucio Flores, Jr. of Iowa. Abraham was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Naudiya, Amelia, Joshua, Jr., Kai, Abigail, Leland, Bentley, Renesmay, Alexus, Michael, Zoey, Nona and Relic. Also surviving are his siblings, Carmen Rodriquez of Defiance, Jose Flores of Ottoville, OH and David (Mary) Flores of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alfredo "Fred" Flores and a great-granddaughter, Myla. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, St Joseph Annex, Defiance, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in the church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Entombment will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.
