William Lee Osborn, 75, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born on September 28, 1942 to William and Mae (Relyea) Osborn in Defiance. His first marriage ended in sadness with the death of his four month old son Chauncey, followed by the death of his wife Kay two weeks later. On December 1, 1973 he married Jacqueline E. Fessel and became stepfather to her son, Ronald Lee Fessel, Jr.
Bill attended Defiance High School, and drove semi for over 20 years, followed by home improvement self-employment. He was proud to have built a new home almost entirely by himself. He also traveled considerably when he was younger. Bill loved children and pets, and he fed the animals in the neighborhood. He has cared for and loved many kittens over the years.
Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Jackie of Defiance, and her son, Ronald Fessel Jr. of San Diego, CA, who has graduated from Dayton University and is an electrical engineer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Osborn, son, Chauncey Osborn, and half sister, Roberta Cole.
Bill had requested there be no visitation or services. He wants to be remembered for his kind and compassionate nature, and as a caring and giving person.
Preferred memorials are suggested to Feed The Children.
