Viriginia R. Urbina

Virginia  R. Urbina, 76, of Defiance, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning,  August 11, 2018.   
  
She was born on January 8, 1942 to Manuel and Ciria (Infante) Urbina in Mexico. On March 4, 1965 she married Guadalupe Urbina, who resides in Defiance. Virginia was a proud mother and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking for everyone. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. 
  
Virginia will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Guadalupe Urbina of Defiance, sons, Paul Urbina, Luciano Urbina, and Pedro Urbina, all of Defiance, daughter, Katherine Steingass of Defiance, step-daughters, Rosemary Maldonado of Toledo, and Elizabeth (Rick) Martinez of Defiance, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Leolardo Urbina of Michigan, and Guadalupe (Cindy) Urbina of Defiance, and sister, Carolina Herrera of Michigan. 
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  her sons, David and Guadalupe Urbina, brothers, Jose, Ramiro, and Juan Urbina, sisters, Ofelia Casarez, Ermalinda Paiz, and Tencha Herrera, and granddaughter, Kirsten Urbina.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Vincent Cantu officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
