Victor Paul Relue, 88, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
He was born on March 30, 1930 to Newton and Olive (Shuler) Relue in Defiance. Victor was a 1948 graduate of Defiance High School. On September 13, 1953 he married Ruth (Harman) Relue, who resides in Defiance.
Victor worked at Tri State Industrial Services as a Plumber and Pipefitter until his retirement in 1993. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, and Union Local #50 Plumbers and Steamfitters. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping at Silver Lake, woodworking, and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he will be greatly missed by his daughters, Susan (Mark) Baringer of Defiance, Patricia (Christopher) Collins of Toledo, and Kristen (Sean) Meyer of West Unity, and his son, Michael (Kris) Relue of San Antonio, Texas. He was the proud grandpa of 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his sister, Alice (the late Bill) McBride of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and sister-in-law Ginny Relue of Kalida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald Relue and Gary Relue, and sister-in-law, Lois Relue.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Rev. Ron Monteith officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
