Rosemary K. (Gitter) Stork

Rosemary K. Stork, 95, of Defiance, passed away on Monday evening, November 5, 2018 at The Laurels of Defiance.   
  
She was born on June 29, 1923 to Joseph and Rose (Fauth) Gitter in Defiance. On April 19, 1947 she married Paul E. Stork, who preceded her in death on December 20, 2014. 

Rosemary was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and was a member of Defiance Elks #147, and The Cotillion Club. She worked as a secretary at Diehl, Inc. and also at Jacob's Meats in Defiance. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bridge, gambling, working puzzles, reading, golfing, and bowling. She was a devoted wife and mother, and found great joy spending time with her family. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. 
  
Rosemary will be sadly missed by her daughter, Becky Keel of Defiance, sons, Jeffrey (Janet) Stork of Kendallville, IN, and Michael (Cathy) Stork of Defiance,  grandchildren, Erica Davis, Erin Davis, Jacob Stork, Corey (Rachel) Stork, Kristen (Keegan) Dunlap, and Staci (Mike) Riley, and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Keegan, and Hendrix.  
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul E. Stork, and sister, Evelyn Hasselschwert.
  
Visitation will be held  from 2-8 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, with a Vigil Service at 2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. John Catholic Church, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
