Ronald Christian Goller, 78, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.  
  
He was born on November 12, 1938 to Christ and Dorothy (Sullivan) Goller in Delaware, Ohio. Ron served our country in the U.S. Army and National Guard Reserve. On December 6, 1958 he married Sue (Ream) Goller, who resides in Defiance. Ron worked for Defiance County and Rath Construction, and was a Fireman and EMT for South Richland Fire Department. 
  
Ron was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and was in the B.F. Avery Tractor Collector and Association, Black Swamp Tractor Club, South Richland Fire Department, and the Defiance Moose #2094. He was a life long farmer, and enjoyed antique tractor pulling and tractor and implement repair. He loved to travel with the tractor club, and going to auctions. 
  
Ron will be missed by his loving spouse of 58 years, Sue Goller of Defiance, sons, Gary Goller and Greg Goller, both of Defiance, daughters, Barbara (Fred) Varner and  Joan (Joseph) Bilyew, all of Defiance, 15 grandchildren; Michael (Jamie) Varner, Andrew (Kaitlin Switzer) Varner, Benjamen Varner, Nathaniel (Courtney) Varner, Brandon (Kayla Haase) Goller, Joshua (Caiti) Goller, Dustin Goller, Lucinda (Nick Brown) Beiswenger, April (Vincent Rodriguez) Ankney, Dena Hall, Adam Bilyew, Eric Bilyew, Danielle (Anthony) Moore, Lacey Goller, and Tyler Goller, 13 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Alyssa, Neva, Karsyn, Eastyn, Khloe, Payshince, Pearlyn, Kaylynn, Luke, Mackenzie, Ayden, and Delaney, brother, Philip (Linda) Goller of Defiance, and sister-in-law, Emma Goller of Sebring, Florida. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, William Roberts, son, Paul Goller in infancy, sister, Margaret Inbody, and brothers, John Goller in infancy, and Mark Goller.
  
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, with Rev. Matthew Schiemann officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens, with graveside military rites accorded by VFW #3360.
